Money matters, but HEALTH is WEALTH

I do not believe in the standard term investment policies via a life insurance company. You can save THOUSANDS of Rands via lower admin costs if you invest directly with a unit trust company or in an ETF fund.

Lisp (Unit Trusts)

You have no restrictions when investing via a Lisp or Lisp platform. It is not connected to a term and there are no penalties if you stop or reduce your premium.

The lower admin costs can save you thousands of Rands.

Can be used for normal saving or retirement saving

ETF

An ETF (Exchange traded Fund) is an investment that tracks the growth of various JSE investments. It is an passive investment that unlike a Lisp does not require management. The admin costs for these funds are less than with a Lisp, but the management of a Lisp provides more protection if the markets does poorly.

It has a lower minimum monthly premium than Lisp funds and is a very popular way to save for a child's education.

This is still a very new way of investing in South Africa but it is very popular overseas.
